The Bynum Brothers have turned this converted brick warehouse into an upscale haven for R&B, soul and hip-hop lovers.. In Short
Home to Butterball's classic oldies party, as well as other radio-sponsored disc jockey nights, Beyond has become Philly's destination for old-school sound. Catering to a professional, mostly African-American clientele, the club offers the standard luxuries of bottle service and flat-screen TVs for VIPS. For non-VIPs, a first-floor lounge outfitted in red drapery boasts velvet booths, an electric fireplace and a fish tank above the bar matches the glow from nearby tabletops.

New York style club.... My wife and I went to Beyond recently not knowing

what to expect out of a Philly club since I

primarily usually only hang out in NYC.

Beyond exceeded my expectations. The crowd is definately an adult crowd and the atmosphere is one in which you would expect in an NYC club. It is up and "Beyond" any of the other lowly kiddie clubs that downtown Philly has to offer.

I would definately recommend this club to any adult couple/single African American or otherwise whom are looking for a nice night of R&B dancing out in Philly.
