Quiet, mid-level Indian. Himalayan was calm and unassuming when I went there on a Monday night. The service was excessively concerned about my well being and exceedingly apologetic (where none was necessary!) I splurged on the Fish Tandoori since work was picking up the bill and the portion was...hefty. The fish was mildly seasoned but I forgot to mention I like spicy. The raita that came with the dish was the best part though and when I combined the dal and rice in the mix the result was pretty tasty. The tomato soup was fair as well, not like a normal tomato soup you would get at a deli. I'd recommend it since there is only one of two indian restaurants in the area.

Good Prices for buffet BUT. This place is good for students and people on a budget who rather spent money on cigars than food. Regurgi@#$% food that is then served for dinner,,,,,yukky. I saw at least 3 dishes that were out of date. They smelt a little and were camouflage with loads of spices and chillies, so also confirm by 3 others. Dinner ws no better. I am not going there no more...

Nice luncheon buffet with a wide variety of choices. The luncheon buffet was quite nice and a very good value for 8$, About 10 different dishs available, lamb & chicken curry, various veggie curries. I prefer pretty spicy, most were on the mild side but flavorful. Chicken Tikka was moist. Nan various salads and a couple of rice dishes available. Nice selection of deserts, really liked the cheese and sweet yogurt

My favorite Indian place in Phila burbs.... I've been to most of the Indian restaurants in the Philadelphia area, but this is my favorite. They have great appetizers like Onion Bhaji and Samosa, and I especially enjoy their Bengan Bhartha (eggplant) and Alo Choli. The white basmati rice is especially fresh and tasty. Beware however - the portions are HUGE; if you load up on appetizers and Naan bread, you'll never get through the main course!

Best in town. Himalyan is something of a tradition for my friends and I. During lunchtime they offer an all-you can eat buffet for cheap (last time I went I think it was $6 or $7.) On weekdays at lunchtime you see a lot of people from the corporate center on lunchbreak, but even then it's not too crowded.

The food is excellent, the waitstaff is curteous and prompt, the ambiance is good, and the price is most definitely right. I've been to all the Indian restaurants in Frazer, and this is definitely the best.

Great food, nicer inside than out - try it!. We have a 2 year old and don't get out much. This was in the Entertainment Book and we like Indian food so we tried it. We'll be back. It's not much to look at on the outside but the food was fantastic. We were the minority - the restaurant was pretty full with about 70% of the patrons of Indian descent. There was a large group of about 12, another family with a baby, some couples on dates - it seemed like a good place for any occasion. The women are dressed in very colorful clothing. It was nice - try it.
