High prices and negative customer service. Customer service was missing from my interaction with this company. One mistake led to another to another and resulted in the findal offer for the item to be $800 more than what was quoted to me initially. So get it in writing as there was no commitment and no willingess to live up to anything they said and the response was "so it was a mistake" don't you make mistakes. Well, if I treated my customers this way and made these types of mistakes, I would no longer be in business. And, worst of all they lost a customer today. By the way, the interactions went all the way to the owner - so it is systemic, in my opinion.…
Overpriced. Overpriced, check who the manufacturer is of any furniture is that you wish to buy and search the Internet for comparisons, we saved 1000s of dollars on our furniture by buying from another store and saved 200 on shipping costs. Dane Decor wanted over 300.00 delivery charge to go about 35 miles, while we paid 100.00 to go almost the same distance.…
A lot of Wow!. My wife and I were blown away by the selection and Wow factor at dane decor downtown. Their product selection is hands down best in the city. We ordered a dining room set and sectional. Our salesperson told us that it would be a few months coming from Europe. Everything came in a month early and looks great in our house. We have bought from a few other places in town, but for the price, nothing beats the value, quality and customer service of dane decor. Yeah, things take a while, but it was well worth it and gave us time to save up to pay the balance.…
After 6 months, still waiting for furniture.... I ordered very expensive furniture in October 2007 and now, mid-April 2008, it has yet to arrive. The owner was defensive and quite unpleasant when asked about the reason for the delay and what could be done about it. I do not recommend this store.…
Somewhere between Ikea and museum-quality, a home store for the downtown loft-dweller..
In Short
The first city outpost of the suburban-base furniture stores has a split personality. Downstairs are a few thousand square feet of the same, functional-feeling Swedish, Finnish and
Danish pieces found in Dane Decor's suburban locations: cleanly lined tables of blonde wood and ergonomic soft leather swivel chairs. Upstairs, a vast gallery displays splashy and sleek modern loft essentials, ranging from classics like Mies van der Rohe's Barcelona chair to a minimalist wooden bed from Italy, primary-colored CD shelves, fold-out ottoman cubes and yes, even canvas beanbag chairs.…
