Good experience first 2 times, ABSOLUTE WORST THIRD TIME

My first two visits to Glow were very good. Carla cut my hair so well, probably better than I had ever had it done, and it grew out absolutely beautifully. So needless to say I went back a third time. I don't know what changed. but there was NOTHING pleasant about my experience. First of all I waited OVER 20 minutes to be washed. After my wash, Carla sat me down in her chair. She then proceeded to leave me for another 10 minutes to attend another client (I guess she was double booked). Half way through my cut she left me AGAIN FOR ANOTHER 10 MINUTES. I am a very patient person and at this point I was getting heated. After my cut she proceeded to dry my hair. Since this was my third time to her, I knew the typical routine. She cuts my hair wet, dries it, and then cuts it dry at the ends to take out the bulk. I'm not an idiot and I guess she thought I wouldn't notice, but she cut ONE SIDE OF MY HEAD when it was dry, then realized her OTHER CLIENT was waiting and told me she was done without cutting the other side. The whole time she was with me she was rushing to get back to her other client. The experience was really terrible. I will never go back to this salon again.

The amazing Borica

I recently experienced my first visit to Glow and have never felt the way I felt when I left the salon that day. I was scheduled with Borica (pronounced Boritsa) and was a bit skeptical because I had never had a guy hairstylist before. He immediately spent the time to talk to me about exactly what I wanted and listened intently (which has not always been my experience). He even brought the color swatches over to educate me on hair color, which nobody had done in over 10 years of getting highlights and color. Then, while I was already impressed, I had a blast throughout my appointment given that his personality is bursting with energy, optimism, and humor. I got the sense that he really cares about people and is highly invested in making evey client leave with having realized their own individual possibilities of confidence and beauty. It was like a tiny 5-star vacation from life that left me feeling completely renewed and rejuvenated!

Best BioIonic Hair Straightening

Glow uses a Hair Straightening System that I had tried previously while living in LA. I was hesitant to have my hair straightened by someone new yet unable to face another humid Philly summer with pouffy, frizzy hair. So I contacted Glow and made a consultation appointment with Carla. She is wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable and detail oriented. We discussed what I wanted, scheduled a hair cut, then the following day straightened and styled my hair. I left Glow with the best hair ever. The cut is flawless and I can readily recreate the style at home, my hair is shiny and healthy and now I have no more bad hair days. Glow rocks.
