Good But Not Perfect.
The Cheesecake Factory has awesome food, a good atmosphere, and quick service. The only place I liked better was The Limit. The only problems I have with the place that it is kind of expensive and always so crowded that it is impossible to hear myself think.
My friends and I went here yesterday (after a hard day of shopping) and we couldn't hear each other talk because the people on both sides of us were so loud. But I guess that really isn't the restaurants fault...
Best Cheesecake. Service is usually not the best, and the food is very overpriced. The cheesecake is the best out there, though. Especially the oreo cheesecake! Food is very rich so you can't eat too much of it in one sitting, I usually end up bringing food home.
Tons of choices!. There is so much variety in their menu! The portions are HUGE and I have never come close to finishing an entree on my own. I always end up with leftovers for lunch the next day. The restaurant is ALWAYS busy, whether it is a weekend or not (worse on weekends, naturally) so the wait for a table can be pretty long. There isn't much seating available while customers wait. Also, with such a large crowd all the time, the wait staff is not always the most attentative but they are always polite and friendly. Finally, their selection of cheesecakes is also very extensive and a must-have! Like the entrees, the slices are pretty substantial so I recommend sharing it.
KOP. Great place to treat yourself. Prices are decent, comparable to Applebees and TGIF, but food is a LOT better and the portions are HUGE. You will doggy bag food home. Service is usually good on weekends but I went on a Tuesday once and the service was lousy, probably because it wasn't busy. If you do go on weekends for dinner, I highly suggest you get there no later than 5PM or else you'll be waiting at least 40min-1hr for a table (applies to a party of more than 2). Don't leave without trying (or taking home) a slice of cheesecake; its around $7 but its worth it.
great food and great bartenders (except one). i am a long time regular at this place and spend quite a bit of money there. food portions are great and the quality is pretty good as well. i prefer to eat at the bar (faster service and more personal service). great kobe beef burger there as well as some pretty sweet buffalo bites and wings. take my advice and stand around the bar and wait for the people who are hogging up bar space while waiting for a table. i have never waited more than 15 minutes for a seat(s). all the bartender there are great (except this clown dave who seems to have the personality of a wet mop. seriously this guy has pr skills of osam bin laden. was just in recently and could have drop kicked him for his attitude) anyway, this is the most popular spot in the mall to eat so i wouldn't complain about the wait.
Decadent cheesecakes and classic American cuisine makes this a popular chain..
In Short
Faux-rustic finishes and colorful light fixtures abound at this almost always crowded chain. The thick-as-a-book menu features Americanized versions of worldly cuisines--Mexican, Vietnamese, Italian, Thai--but succeeds best with American classics. Burgers are a good choice, especially the ""Roadside Sliders,"" mini burgers served as appetizers. The myriad cheesecakes are over-the-top in concept and decadence. You'll leave full, with leftovers.
I don't understand why people go here!. The food is ok, but nothing spectacular. It's nothing special at all. You always have to wait for a table, and service just tries to shove you out. It's loud and sometimes you can hear the kitchen yelling at eachother (not pleasant). The servers uniforms look dirty and I found some old sauce crusted onto my bread plate and fork when i sat down. Yes the cheesecake is good, but it's definately not worth it!!
love the lettuce wraps. I love the thai lettuce wraps - they are an appetizer, but big enough for a meal. Service was good, but the wait was way to long.
