Editorial Review for Loie – by Lauren McCutcheon

In Short
Loie's glassy storefront leads from a bar crowded with a classy, post-college crowd, past large, equally packed booths, into a small dining area with a DJ booth. The intimate, 75-seat dining room and 20-seat lounge has the feel of a classic French bistro (pale, crested silk panels and Parisian theater posters) and a menu to match.

Insider Tips

Know Before You Go

Owner Avram Hornik is also responsible for Lucy's Hat Shop, SoMa and Drinker's Tavern.

Where to Sit

It's first come, first served, except for parties of six or more. Groups of eight squeeze into deep booths in the front of the house.

When to Go

A bar menu is served daily between lunch and dinner and from 10pm until 1am. And Old City party crowds also come around 10pm when the dining room gives way to a dance floor.

Love this place for the food, cocktails, style and service. Avram and his staff are amazing and keep it coming year after year. Love the burgers too.

I just hosted a private party for about 30 people and everything was amazing!! The food was perfect, and staff was really friendly, and the atmosphere was perfect for networking and relaxing. I had so much fun I came back a week later for dinner and drinks and was again super pleased with both the food and the happy hour drink specials. Definitely a place to check out if you're in Rittenhouse!!

Pros: ambience, food, service
