What People Are Saying About Mixto Inc

Set in Antique Row Center City, Mixto offers a blend of traditional Latin American and Caribbean food with a contemporary flare. This two story restaurant embodies the Latin spirit. With its exposed brick walls, sweeping wooden staircase, floor-to-ceiling windows, wrought iron wooden accents, it's hard not to imagine you're at a far off fiesta while sipping away on a Cuban Mojito.
The menu is as diverse as it is delicious. Each dish at Mixto is served with a side of elegance. The wine list serves as a passport for a taste of another country, with wines from Chile, Argentina, and as far away as Spain.

In Short
Look for Mixto's big picture windows, papaya-colored walls and an airy upstairs bar. Still, the efficient, Spanish-speaking service is reminiscent of Mixto's North Philly home-style progeny. The dinner entrees--plain grilled whole pargo fish, simple chicken breast in tangy red salsa, even a giant platter of squid-ink paella--come with plenty of beans, rice and plantains or cassave. The fried skirt steak with sliced avocado, fried egg and all the trimmings is a sure palate-pleaser.

Great sangria and mixed drinks. All levels of staff are poorly trained and very rude.

Now i've read alot of the reviews and was hesitant to try the establishment. I must say I haven't had that good of a time, a meal or server in some time. I am latina and the food is true to the culture. The drinks well made and the food was awesome. The only complaint I had was the desert. Not that great. Everything else was on the up and up. Try it out , you wont be disappointed!!!!
