If you're a steak and egg brunch eater, make sure to order the Colombian Breakfast, top round steak served with corn meal patties, two eggs, rice with beans, and slices of plantains.

Monday, Wednesday and Friday are the days to drop by — they do $5 mojitos from 5-7pm.

Mixto is a great spot for brunch, especially if you have a crowd. Lots of options on the menu and rarely a wait. Also a good place for happy hour.

Wonderful happy hour drinks during the week. Chicharones fried up right here.

Good Food & Very Good Service. From the time I was greeted by hostess to the time I got my check the service was excellent. The reason I mentioned the service first is because sadly service in this country is a lost art. The beef empanadas were above average. My entrée was good and very reasonably priced ($16) for downtown.

overrated. I keep going back thinking it is going to get better. They have some good standards, arroz con pollo, their red beans is good, decent empanadas and the drinks are decent but otherwise, I would prefer their first restaurant terra Columbiana in North Philly!

Great Drinks, Great Staff, Good Portions. I had been hearing about Mixto for a while, so 5 of us went to Mixto last night for a birthday. We did not make a reservation and it was a 45 minute wait so we were sent upstairs to the bar. The place was packed, the and the staff was really busy but the bartender was super friendly and found the time to talk to us a bit about drink recommendations. She made us a pitcher of the best mojitos I have ever had and a few margaritas which were tough to beat as well. She was extremely helpful communicating with the hostess as to the status of our table. We were finally sat at a table, where we ate our entrees. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and between him and the rest of the staff, our table was taken care of at all times. Our portions were big and every dish had rice and beans to go along with it. My argentinian steak was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor, and everyone else with my party enjoyed the night, not to mention the check wasn't too rough on the wallet, considering how much food and mojitos we had. I would recommend this place for any special occasion. The atmosphere is busy and the staff bustles around happily which gives the restaurant a uniquely warm and latin feel.

nice place, so-so food. I ate at Mixto 4 times in the past 4 months.

It went from loving them to hating them . The quality of food went from being outstanding to mediocre. Some dishes are very good and well crafted (Churrasco argentino, columbiano, etc) . Others (all chickens on the menu) are poor. I do like their drinks, and ambience. Prices are reasonable (never paid less tan $30/person). I wish they tried to improve instead of feeding off the clientele and lower the quality of their food while raising their prices.

Was alright, a bit pricey.. I went to Mixto tonight with a friend and we were pretty excited because we've heard good things about this restaurant and we wanted to go somewhere new for us.

I was a bit disappointed that the food was a bit pricey (seriously, $4.5 for TWO empanadas is ridiculous). But the entrées were delicious. I highly recommend the chicken with cheddar sauce dish. It was amazing! And I love that you get a small bit of rice and black bean soup on the side. I was completely stuffed after the chicken though!

The poor thing about this restaurant was the service. We were ignored by our waiter multiple times and he NEVER checked up on us to see how we were doing (despite the fact he was only a few feet away). It was not a busy night either. We actually decided to tip the guy who constantly refilled our glasses with water. He was very polite and friendly. Even though he was not our waiter, we felt he sure deserved it more than ours did. He was rude and distant and just talked to the bartender all night even though we were only a few feet away. Simple things such as soda refills and common courtesy really isn't to be taken for granted.

Great Food...Great Place. Now i've read alot of the reviews and was hesitant to try the establishment. I must say I haven't had that good of a time, a meal or server in some time. I am latina and the food is true to the culture. The drinks well made and the food was awesome. The only complaint I had was the desert. Not that great. Everything else was on the up and up. Try it out , you wont be disappointed!!!!

great food, cute spot, cute staff. the food was excellent (best smoothie i've ever had!), and the portions were great (i hate these restaurants that give you a serving that wouldn't fill an infant) and the prices reasonable. the staff were all cute and latino, adding to the overall vibe of the place. outdoor seating available, and the front is landscaped very nicely. good for a date spot or anytime. perfect location right off of broad street!
