HORRIBLE SERVICE, DECENT FOOD.
I'VE BEEN TO EULOGY BEFORE FOR BEERS BUT WENT ON WED, NIGHT WITH MY FAMILY FOR DINNER. WE HAD A PARTY OF 7 AND I CAN HONESTLY SAY IT WAS THE WORST SERVICE I EVER HAD AT ANY RESTAURANT.
WE WERE SEATED AT 6:15 AND DIDN'T GET THE CHECK TILL 9"00. ALL WE HAD WAS 2 ROUNDS OF DRINKS, APPETIZERS, AND ENTREES (BURGERS AND FISH AND CHIPS).
IT WASN'T UNUSUAL TO NOT SEE OUR WAITRESS FOR 20 TO 30 MINUTES AT A TIME. THE PLACE IS NOT EVEN THAT BIG!
TO TOP OFF A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE THEY ADDED AN AUTOMATIC 20% GRATUITY TO THE BILL!
NEEDLESS TO SAY WE WON'T BE RETURNING TO EULOGY.

Make sure you LOOK like you are going to spend money.
I had been to Eulogy 2 times before and thought the beer was great and food was pretty good. Those two times I went with my wife and we were going out afterwards so we dressed the part.
The 3rd time was with a few of my cousins and their girlfriends (ages 22-25) we just wanted to grab some beers and eat. We sat down; waitress came over and told us we needed to move to the bar because this area was for people just eating dinner. (odd but didn’t think to much of it at the time)
We moved, ordered drinks and then were asked to move again because someone had reserved this area. (Very odd then started to get the point……she didn’t want us there). If that was blunt enough after the 3rd round she brought us our check. Ha!!
We took our business across the street to Triumph which is where we will be headed from now on.
Sorry Eulogy but that’s type of service is unacceptable and offensive.
So if you’ve read this so far and still considering going make sure you break out the preppy clothes and you will enjoy some great beer. If not jump across the street….foods better there anyway.

Tasty Burger ... lots of beer.
Just had the Beneluux Napoleon Burger and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The meat was juicy, cooked exactly how I requested and the seasoning mix they used was delectable. The tavern is located in Old City, amongst many other local pubs and restaurants and is 2 floors. The place seemed very low key and modest but was quite crowded on the first floor for a Saturday afternoon. Beer selection is one of the best in the city.

Best Fish 'n Chips in town..
The chips... were de-lish. Crispy on the outside,
and melty soft on the inside.
The fish was excellent too... closest thing to the local London Chippy!
The side/dip sauce... could have a tad more fiest to it!
But all in all... the Fish 'n chips... were excellent!
Downside... there was only one bottle of vinegar in the 2 floors of service area, and my chips had cooled off by the time the our waiting mate could locate it.
Make sure you have them get the malt vinegar and worcestershire sauce upfront... before the food arrives... if you like your chips that way.
Beers were great... Frambois on tap... yum!
Cheers!

What Happened to Eulogy????.
I'd thought I just share my email that I sent to the owner today....
On Friday, I had a reservation for the Coffin room for approx 25 people. My fiance and I have always loved Eulogy and frequented often over the past 2 years, however, our service was absolutely horrible on Friday. I informed you of the need for approx 10 pitchers of Stella and lots of fries. When the birthday boy and I arrived our guests were receiving their own drinks. BUT it took us 25 minutes to get a drink and to place any type of order with Martin. Martin was constantly busy and we wouldn't see him for long periods of time.
The room was very hot and when some of our guests said something to Martin they were told it's because the room is above the kitchen. We had 5 people leave because of the heat . It wasn't until one of the guests noticed there was an a/c unit and asked Martin if it could be turned on. His response "All you had to do was ask". Are you kidding me?
When I asked for the 10 pitchers, I was told there was only 5 available. When he brought them out, there were NO glasses. I was told they were all out. The pitchers sat there for at least 25 minutes before we got approx 10 glasses. That's hardly enough for everyone.
The only thing that we received quickly were the fries and the bill. Between not receiving a call back or an email when I repeatedly contacted you and your bar and with the horrible service, I was pretty disheartened. We loved Eulogy, but will not be rushing to come back anytime soon after Friday night. It really made a potential fun night very stressful for me.
I am sorry to send you this email, but you need to know about your servers and the type of service your guests are receiving. As an owner of an establishment, it should be in your best interest to serve your customers in the best manner possible, which clearly the 25- 30 people I had there on Friday didn't receive.

Best bar in town.
If you havent been to Eulogy you are missing a fantastic piece of Philadelphia. The food is excellent, the service is immediate and the beer list speaks for itself. I am a regular at Eulogy and will continue to be a regular. I am a big fan of trying different beers and really learning about the beer at the same time...this place is perfect for that. There are many things on the menu that are "must tries"...fries, mussels, hanger sandwich, cheese plate...and of course all the beer. The buffalo wings arent the best Ive had, but thats about the only thing I can think to say negative about this place. The bartenders here are the most knowledgeable I have ever met. They can make dozens of recommendations, tell you about the brewing of the particular ale, tell you about the history of the beer and even tell you the best temperature to drink it. It makes visiting Eulogy more than just a night at a bar...its more like a history lesson, museum and party wrapped into one. Sophisticated or sloppy drunk I love this place.

Great Beer!.
I am a huge lover of beers, Belgian first...they always have an amazing selection on tap and of course, the bottles as well.- Great service always, great advice from the bartenders, and great treats for after you might have one too many extra- alcoholic beers (some are upwards of 11%- beware, seen people with their head on the countertop after one!) Love the clams with greyure and must try the french fries with the unique dipping sauce...!

Extensive beer selection, knowledegable staff.
Eulogy has a fantastic selection of Belgian ales my waiter was very knowledgeable when asked for details on the more obscure selections. The bar itself is fairly typical for a shotgun space. Though they claim their burger has been rated the Best in Philly, I thought it was average. Their frijtes, however, are excellent and their moules biere were very good. All in all a nice, casual hangout.

Most unprofessional staff I have ever experienced..
This place has the most unprofessional staff I have ever experienced in my entire life which is a shame because the beer list was very impressive. I will never be returning to this establishment. The sister bar, Beneluxx has a great staff however. Very friendly and educated.
