Editorial Review for The Block at Orange – by Amanda Knoles
The Scene
A 30-theater AMC cineplex and a wide choice of eateries including Wolfgang Puck, Johnny Rockets and Tu Tu Tango make this a great spot to spend a day and evening. Don't miss the action at Vans SkatePark, where the skateboarders practice their best moves. Dave & Buster's combines billiards and a midway of games with several bars and a full-service dining room.
The Goods
More than a shopping complex, The Block offers shopping, entertainment and dining for the whole family. More than 100 specialty shops like Ron Jon Surf Shop and Hilo Hattie are tucked among favorites like Old Navy, Border's, Ann Taylor and Tilly's. Off 5th, the Saks Fifth Avenue Outlet, features terrific prices on designer clothes for men and women.

Though the Block is leaps and bounds ahead of the Irvine Spectrum, it's rating is hurt by being in a sketchy area of town. Call it the Magic Mountain of outdoor malls, if you will.
