New Hope >Food & Dining > Zoubi Restaurant & Bar
Elitist and rude!. We did not even make it into the door! We were a party of three, well dressed and in our late twenties. We walked through the alleyway that is not well marked as to where to go to enter the restaurant in the wintertime. The eldest of the owners (with the french accent) came into the same alleyway from a door to the left and asked us what we were looking for, when I said we were interested in a menu, he told us to go next door because his restaurant was expensive for dinner. When we all looked at each other then back at him, aghast, he laughed at us. Obviously, during a recession, any money is not good enough for this elitist restaurant. They would prefer that we riffraff stay out of his already empty restaurant. Also? Upon doing research after returning home...they also own the bar next door! Thankfully, we did not take his advice, and will never return to either establishment, and advise our friends (who frequent New Hope) to do the same. Bad move, old man.
Bad food and bad service at Zoubi Restaurant. I went to Zoubi restaurant on the evening of May 26th 2006, the food were bad. They severed spoiled seaweed sala with tuna fish, the sirlon steak was full with fat and meat part was too tough to cut. We complained to the ower, he told me not to go there again in front of other people.
