Scheduling error. I scheduled a massage and left my phone number. I checked in and sat there for 10 minutes. Then they came out and said they had made a scheduling error, the therapist wasn't even there, could I come back in an hour when another therapist was coming in. They apologized.
Poor Spa Service. So I just moved to the Chestnut Hill area and decided to try Spa Elysium for a quick waxing service. Well, it not a great spa. It's in a basement. While walking down the stairs, a bucket is catching a water leak. Seriously, is this an upscale salon and spa. The restroom door does not lock. My waxing woman was very out of it. Not sure if she was tired," HIGH", or just not feeling well. She was moving very slow because she hurt her back or something, not sure what she said because her back was towards me. So why are you at work! My brows are terrible, I would not suggest anyone to go here. The service was not worth $18. Any suggestions regarding where to go for great brows? Please tell me!
Natalie: the best color, cut, and style!. I am very particular when it comes to my hair, and so is Natalie. I have long, curly, dark hair, and she makes it a non-brassy blonde and gives me just enough low lights to make it natural. she also blows out my hair with body and no frizz! she takes the time to make sure it's completely dry, so that it lasts.
great stylist. Spa Elysium offers great services. They make it so easy with weeknight hours as well as hours on Sunday! They also carry great products and gift ideas.
RELAX!!!.
Spa Elysium is an oasis away from home. I had a facial (excellent and relaxing!) and a wonderful massage from head to toe. It concluded with a warm, moist towel on my back. Both professionals were excellent at their skill and very accomodating.
I would recommend Spa Elysium to anyone who needs a hiatus from the stress of everyday life. It's conveniently located and reasonably priced. I can't wait to go back!
Not worth it.
I went to this spa for a prenatal massage, and a blowdry/flatiron. The massage was okay, but when it was time for me to get my hair done, they only shampooed it once, and it was some guy who just rubbed on my head. He didnt even comb the conditioner through, which I am used to. Then I guess the shampoo girl blew dry my hair, but the technique she used I did not like at all. She didnt seperate my hair, she just used a big brush and brushed it wild while blowdrying it, tangling it.
My stylist Renee, I was not impressed at all. I think I heard her say that she didnt feel like doing all that hair (mine) I did not tip, and I def will not be back and will not recommend this place to anyone. They just rushed the whole process. I was not impressed at all.
I also noticed that there are no recent reviews.
GREAT spa!. Angie does a great job waxing eyebrows! Mine have never looked as full or even as they do now! Another pro....this salon seems to keep its employees unlike others in the area. They've got my business!
Natalie for cut & color. Natalie has been coloring and cutting my hair for many years. My highlights always look natural--never brassy or obvious. She listens to what I ask for and then recommends how that will work with my hair type. I would recommend her to anyone!
It's ALL about Rachel. Rachel is professional. She's always on time and she makes my hair look great. She takes time to talk to me about my 'look'. I'm in my '50's and she takes a decade off me everytime I go.
