We love this place! Fun atmosphere and terrific service. Food was delicious and plentiful. The Sultan Feast is the ticket here featuring Bastila, kebobs and baklava; we were served like we would be at a Moroccan home ceremonial style as Belly dancers set the mood in this casbah like restaurant. I ve heard so much about this place and finally my wife and friends took me there. At least last night (Friday), the restaurant turns into a hookah lounge around 10pm. Then, they serve a la carte dinner. We ordered a Fruit Cocktail Hookah and chillaxed with our BYOB selection. Terry, the owner was our server as his brother helped out with our drinks and many requests. The belly dancer was gracious and tasteful. she even invited some of us to perform.

I highly recommend Little Marrakesh to groups or couples for it offers exotic and unique experience with belly dancers and Moroccan delicacies that include plenty for the vegetarian. My only complaint is that the belly dancer left early and that the place doesn t serve alcohol.

Very good!. Words only won't do this place justice. Little Marakesh is a cultural experience with excellent tajines and couscous, belly dancers, and good/family service. One thing I did not like was the fact that the place is not decorated authentically. The decore is a blend of nouveau and traditional, and that I am not crazy about.

Also, I was not crazy about their live band.

One more thing, from reading a review below I gather it is a bogus review. In other words, becareful of competition writing their own reviews to draw people form this restaurant that has enjoyed excellent reviews from different publications. The restaurant proudly lists the many reviews by their entrance.

Why would a restaurant write bad reviews about another?

It is sad, but "haters" do exist.

DONT GO. Have been there twice now and the food is horrible. I went the second time for a friend's birthday and did not want to order the Sultan's Feast because I am a vegetarian. I was ridiculed in front of the 10 person party to say that I had to order the food and that it was unfair to the others not to order the feast. I explained to "the boss" that I would not order the food because I am a vegetarian (besides the fact that it is incredibly over priced for food that tastes terrible). The first course came 30 minutes later (family style), by this time everyone was starving. My friend forced me to eat a pita (because you are NOT allowed to order off the a la carte menu) because I wasn't eating. The second I had ONE pita "the boss" came over and screamed at me in front of the whole place. I completely understand that he has to make his money....but to yell at me for one pita was ridiculous!!! I told him I would pay for the Feast but that I would only be able to eat one or ... horrible. Very nice Moroccan Restaurant. Was there with my family and enjoyed our "sultan feast". Many of our friends had recommended this place so we made the reservation for a Saturday night. When we entered, we were so surprised at the authentic moroccan decor and beautiful brass top tables! the host was very informative (although we have experience we moroccan dining) and polite and seemed to really care about us. They serve traditional moroccan style or family style where there was one platter in front of us for each of the multiple courses. It was fun and enjoyable!! The servers were very nice and helpful as they explained course after course. We really loved the home made hummus, bastilla, and the chicken tagine!! The belly dancer was very entertaining and danced multiple times during our feast. It's BYOB and they don't charge a cork fee which is nice too! At the end we ordered a hookah which we've had before. There were many flavors to choose and we went with one of their custom blends and it was an very nice way to finish our feast with this relaxing hookah. They even have a bazzar were you can purchase moroccan gifts. I actually bought a little vase and the lady there was very sweet and said she and her husband (and his family, and yes they are moroccan i found out) opened the restaurant eleven years ago! What a wonderful "authentic" moroccan restaurant in Dresher. Can't wait to go back but next time we will bring a bigger group to enjoy the fun!!

the service and quality has gone downhill!!!. We have been fans of this restaurant for years, but after taking a little hiatus to raise our family, we finally had a chance to revisit our favorite restaurant and introduce it to some new friends. Boy were we suprised!!!

We should have known that things were going to be bad the first moment we arrived. It was a Friday night and the entire place was empty. The staff was American. The handwritten sign said under new management. And the staff had no idea we were there for the feast, despite being mentioned during the reservation.

On the way to our table the owner kept trying to sell us on the hookah. After the fifth time he mentioned it, I told him that if he asked me one more time I was going to leave. As the evening progressed, the restaurant filled with drunk teens doing hookah and congregating in the walkways.

When we arrived at our table the first thing I noticed was that there was utensils. having been to several Moroccan restaurants before, I know that that was not the norm.

Service seemed rushed to us. We were not finished with one course and they were pushing the next course on us.

Quality of the food was cold and tasteless. The hummus in the appetizer tasted like it was out of a jar. The chicken in puffed pastry was cold, tasteless and had the appearance of not being fresh. The roast chicken fell apart and had no flavor. The shishkebab platter was dry and chewy. Couscous was dry and flovorless. Baklava was too sweet and tea was weak.

We felt so bad we paud for our friend's dinner.

Unique birthday party!. We went to Little Marakesh to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday. There were eight of us so we decided to order the "feast" which costs $27 per person and were so glad we did. The food exceeded our expectations and there was a ton of it, the service was excellent and to top it all, the belly dancer who entertained us was absolutely wonderful. The staff was courteous and friendly. Everyone in our party enjoyed themselves. We will definitely go back.

AAA in all. Enchanting, because upon entry your troubles are checked at the door. Food is amazingly tasty and creative...North African flavors dominate the menu. The service is magical, sparkling and eccentric like the place. "A" for ambiance, "A" for food, and "A" for service.

A wonderful Experience!. What a wonderful, pleasant experience. The waitress was very knowledgeable about the food and made excellent suggestions. The Moroccan Tajine that she suggested was sweet and delicious. There were 3 of us and we had 3 different entrees and all were huge, so we shared. The restaurant was a bit crowded, so we waited to be seated especially that we had no reservastions. It is beautifully decorated, had wonderful music playing in the background and the belly dancers were awesome. I must add as well that it was very clean. Can't wait to go back.

Fantastic. i wanted to surprise my girlfriend with exotic food and ambiance but instead, i surprised myself. This is a true diamond in the rough restaurant, rich with cultural experience. Besides the decore, a theater size screen projects pictures form north africa and movies such as casablanca and Lawrence of arabia. The screen is turned off when belly dancers come out.

We ordered the royal/sultan feast (they have a vegetarian version also) and it was absolutly to die for. After a hand washing ceremony (rose water), we were presented with a variety of salads and a sweet dish called bastilas, which has to be my favorite; Filo dough filled with sweet chicken and topped with sugar and cinnamon. I was stuffed by the main course (chicken tagine) but the couscous and kebobs were so good that i had to make room. hot tea and baklova were served for desserts.

The service was warm and friendly, much like a family taking care of you. After all, it was a family of brothers and a mom taking care of us. The only draw back is that the place became very crowded after 7pm and the service slowed down a bit as a result.

In summary, Little Marrakesh is an excellent choice for a unique experience.

Superb Food and Great Service. The ambiance in this restaurant is worth writing home about. Candle lit tables and Moroccan goos covering the walls and an entire bazaar area. The music did it for me here not to mention the straight forward moroccan dishes, one after the other. Starting with the famous humus and ending with hot tea. everything in betqween is superb especially the chicken tajine. Belly dancers were there to ensure a complete maghrebin experience. One thing I regret is not being prepared for this place did not offer wine. Though a liquor store is only steps away in the same plaza, we got there late n we had to do without spirits. We will definitely return and with north african beer/wine soon. I highly recommend this place especially for large groups though it could be intimate for a couple also.
