North Third Restaurant

Conveniently located between Center City and Fishtown, this eclectic and welcoming restaurant continues to flourish due to its ever-evolving menu courtesy of Chef Peter Dunmire, who delights in changing his daily blackboard specials. Located in Northern Liberties, the area itself provides much of the ambience.
Whether you go for N.3rd's European-style sidewalk cafe, its impressive selection of international wines, sizeable Belgian beer list or it's cozy Sunday Brunch, N.3rd's quirky character continually win people over.
The Lounge at N.3rd (adjacent to the restaurant) plays host to a dozen different events each month, everything from screening local short films very Tuesdays to Psydde Delicious hosting every second Wednesday.

In Short
N 3rd's dining room is a reflection of its neighborhood: dark, sometimes noisy, always laid back and constantly emitting the effortless glamour of local artists who don't know they're glamorous. The menu falls under the newly familiar comfort food classification, which, it would seem, has come to cover dishes like yummy cornmeal-crusted, salt-and-pepper-dusted calamari served with a fruity dip and rich, flavorful vegetable and Parmesan risotto. Check the chalkboard for the day's specials.

The food and beer selection at North 3rd is great, but I think what keeps me coming back is the great music selection, wonderful crowds and friendly wait staff. I have been here with very large groups and the waiters are wonderful, even with a large table.

It's a little on the loud side and you have to look at lots of naked lady paintings, but I love North 3rd for classic comfort food. The burgers both tuna and beef are great and the salads, mac & cheese, sauteed spinach are really yummy. The beer selection is good too.

North 3rd has a great wing! This is what I come here for. The price is reasonable and atmosphere is great. It is appearing to the young crowd but also lately people from outside of city. You will see more older generation which is a great thing. Sometime on Fridays and Saturdays, it is too crowded to go as well as music is getting too loud to talk to your company. I hope they can work on that.
