Editorial Review for Independence Visitor Center – by Lauren McCutcheon
In Short
Flat-screen TVs vividly animate living postcards portraying nightlife, history, mansions and cultural events. Two state-of-the-art miniature cinemas show short films on the city's history and the country's birth. There's a cafe with lattes and soft pretzels, and a fast-moving line for tickets to Independence Hall. Any questions? Ask the friendly folks at the info counter, head to a computer kiosk, or strike up a conversation with one of the costumed guides, who greet you with 18th-century banter--but will also give you directions to Pat's Steaks.
