The Scene – The ambiance is relaxed, with a brick-walled pub and petite dining room. Windows trimmed in white lights create a romantic feel, offset by mismatched paintings and TV sets tuned to sports. The menu offers American cuisine, from wings to steaks. A creative choice would be the salad and pork tenderloin stuffed with goat cheese is a solid choice, but the staples are best: you can't go wrong with a burger and fries.
Best Burgers In Fairmount and More!!
by jackintown
I love this place and its staff. The food is great from the appetizers to the full entrees. Great place to go and have a late bite - they serve food until 1 a.m. every night. Love to sit at the bar and have a few beers or a cocktail ( the beer list is solid... not Monk's, but far better than average). The burger is the best in Fairmount, by far. I don't care what Philly Magazine says. And to respond to the review that said the service was snooty and sarcastic - I love the bartenders at Aspen, and if the bartender was sarcastic or "snooty" to you... you probably did something to deserve it. Rob's a good bartender and a pretty nice guy from what I've seen. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxed bar atmoshere to enjoy a nice meal and some good conversation.
- Pros: Great beer list. Good Food. Open Late
- Cons: Parking.
Fantastic!!!

This place is fantastic, from happy hour to the wee hours, Aspen is everything a neighborhood could ask for. The service, both behind the bar and at the tables, is always quality and usually carries a polite greeting and smile. Great food, great beer list and an average wine list are sure to provide most people needs. If you haven't tried it, you should.
Great food, friendly service, good crowd, low prices

We stopped in after a Friday evening at the Art Museum for a light meal. Wow. I ordered the soup special, crab cake sandwich, and could not say no to the mac and cheese. So much for the light meal. The service was great, and the food was delectable, especially the fries and mac and cheese. It's my new favorite place in the neighborhood. Street parking is problematic, but we just walked.
- Pros: Food, atmosphere, service, crowd
- Cons: Street parking (if you drive)
