Editorial Review for JKF Plaza (Love Park) – by Citysearch Editors
In Short
In the 1960s, Philadelphia's JFK Plaza, also known as Love Park, was built at the eastern end of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and diagonally across from City Hall. Sit on one of many benches and enjoy the sound of a bubbling fountain, with a view of the art museum in the distance. Robert Indiana's "LOVE" sculpture--hence the park's nickname--is not to be missed.

You've got a great view of City Hall which is adjacent to the southeast corner of the park. One of the best views in the whole city can be achieved by looking northwest down the Benjamen Franklin Parkway. The Benjamin Franklin Parkway was modeled after Champs Elysees in Paris France. It is around 2 miles long and around 200 feet wide. It is a straight road. At one end in JFK Plaza and the the other end is the Philadelphia Art Museum. You can see the Art Museum from JFK Plaza. There is also a great fountain. Across the street from the park on the south side is a 7-11 in case you get hungry or want a slurpee or something else to drink. The only complaint that I have is that there are not that many big trees, even though there are trees. The trees just aren't that big.
Pros: Great Views
Cons: Not many big trees.

Since they kicked out the skateboarders(entertainment), Love is just any other place. . Simply put, it's just a place to stop on you way to something else....don't make it your attraction.
