Last Sunday of the Month -- BE THERE!!!. If you want fantastic food that's reasonably priced while watching the funniest comedians, then go to North by Northwest for the Soul Comedy Cafe. I'm a 60 year old white woman and I enjoy it so much that I'm becoming a regular. TuRae Gordon is the host and he's one of the funniest comedians that I've ever seen. There are always well-known comedians performing at the show. Great food and fun -- what could be better?

Saturday!. North by Northwest is the new hot spot. I really enjoyed my time there. The bartenders were great, the service was good, the music was good. If you want to be in a relaxing atmosphere and at the same time have a great time this spot is for you.

Cool space, hot sounds in the heart of Mt. Airy.. In Short
Part restaurant, part nightclub, North by Northwest has quickly become a popular destination. This former Woolworth's has been beautifully refurbished and cast in complementary hues of slate blue, charcoal gray and saucy red. The dining area is clustered by the old storefront windows, but spills out into a series of tables and booths in front of the stage and bar at the opposite end of the room. The menu emphasizes densely caloric comfort food.

New management, new menu -- BAD. NXNW was one of my favorite spots until they got a new chef/management/menu. The food used to be feel good/bbq great stuff @ reasonable prices. Now -- overpriced, small portions, belongs in Old City NOT Mt. Airy.

Disappointment - New Management and Menu. I have loved this restaurant/music joint for years - great brisket sandwich and fries, good music, terrific ambiance. However, for some bizarre reason they are trying to change their image. Their new menu is nothing short of pretentious (both the food and prices). I was there with a party of 12 on Saturday night, only to discover that we had ordered the LAST BOTTLE OF RED WINE IN THE HOUSE (according to the manager they had 'run out' on Friday night, despite the fact that there is a bottle store across the road). I recommend the new management bring back the old menu and get their act together as they are losing loyal clientele quickly.

Learn to Dance the Salsa?. Friday night is hot at North by Northest. Learn to dance the Salsa. Even if you eat ther unimaginable and overpriced food, plan to pay an additional cover charge to learn to dance. If you don't ,your waiter will chase you down and escort you back to your table!

Never fails. Even my mother-in-law loves it. The food, the service, the music and atmosphere are terrific. It works for a young, hip couple and a family with small children all at the same time. You just always leave there in a great mood. Simply amazing.

Give this place a try!!. Last Saturday, July 20th, my wife and I had dinner at NXNW. The bar has a great selection of draft beer and an outstanding variety of bottled beer. We had appetizers and dinner and the food was very good. Generous portions and well prepared. We had a difficult time finishing because there was so much food. The staff was very courteous and prompt. I highly recommend NXNW.
