Editorial Review for Django – by Lauren McCutcheon
In Short
Linen napkins embroidered with roosters and bread baked in flowerpots set this spot a notch above its no-frills counterparts. Like the decor, the fare includes fresh, rustic details. Lemon zest livens gazpacho with shredded octopus. Vanilla-chili honey intensifies the tropical flavors of sauteed shrimp. Entrees include lemon-poached salmon, herb-marinated halibut and rare sirloin with deep-fried potato cutouts. For dessert, the signature cheese plate steals the show, with aged beauties, raw honey, fresh blackberries and nuts.

Insider Tips
What to DrinkThe nearest wine shop is just two blocks away, between on Fifth Street between Pine and Lombard streets. Look for Alsatian white, pinot grigio, chardonnay or lighter reds and pinot noirs.
When to GoFor weekend nights, be sure to reserve a table. One month in advance is recommended.
Where to SitThe most requested table is No. 6, subtly set apart in the center of the room on the left side. It seats two to four.

This place so far exceeded my expectations that I'm still in shock. Exceptional attention to detail - in the food, service, atmosphere, etc. I can see why this place is so packed on the weekends...I went on a thursday and it was half full and very comfortable. I'll definitely return!
Pros: everything
Cons: hmmm....
