In Short – A few blocks along cobblestoned Germantown Avenue comprise the Hill's own main street, peppered with chain stores. Antique boutiques dominate the shopping district, with specialty shops in between. Amid these "Roadshow"-watcher's establishments are garden stores, children's boutiques, art galleries and gourmet shops. There's also Kilian's Hardware, Chestnut Hill Sporting Goods, the Cheese Shop, Zipf's Candies and a farmers' market.

A small town in the city
by ek_bushnell
Chestnut Hill is a quaint town and feels far removed from Philadelphia despite still being within the city limits. With the cobblestone streets and great shops and restaurants, its the perfect place to spend a Saturday. I fell in love with Chestnut Hill the first time I went and decided to stay. It's a great neighborhood to live in as well as visit!
