Best in the city!. Ok, I have to be honest. The atmosphere at the 4th & South location can't be beat! But, I'm so happy to have Jim's in Springfield! :-)

Not even close as good as West Philly location! period!. terrible.. no way the same as the orginal in west philly. if you want a real jims steaks head over to west philly location. springfield location service was down right bad. ordered 5 steals with wiz... like we were bothing them. meat was tough. rolls seamed like day olds. take my word for it. springfiels and ne locations arent the same .. or even close to the orginal in west philly.

Jim's steaks not so gooe tonight. I ordered a cheese steak.. When I got home no cheese. The were so busy trying to defrost frozen steak on the grill, to my suprize. I diidn't receive packs of catsup I requested and had to ask for napkins. They did not secure the lids on the pickles or peppers. The bag ripped I just caught everything in time. Bad services all around.

Never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever go to Jims in Springfield. Okay. The cheese steak meat was so overcooked the meat was black. (they preecooked it) The fries were so undercooked that right out of the fryer they were cold. The staff got my order wrong after they asked me to repeat it FIVE TIMES!!!! And I will bet anything they were all Smoking and I don?t mean cigarettes. I got nothing wrong with that but just if you are going to smoke don?t mess up my GD FOOD!!! If you want to go to Jims Steaks go to the one on south street. Avoid this one at ALL COST!!!!!

This cheesesteak joint is not only a critical part of Philadelphia's atmosphere, it's also a local treasure.. In Short
This Philadelphia institution is considered a front-runner in the great cheesesteak debate. That's why customers line up on its noxiously sanitized sidewalks at all hours. The steaks ooze grease, which seeps into the roll and makes the entire sandwich a mind-blowing experience. Make sure to get fried onions on top, and don't try to sound well-heeled by ordering some kind of facy cheese like provolone. Jim's famous cheez wiz will do perfectly fine.
