TRY IT!. VERY good food. Five out of five of us were very pleased with all of our choices. Nice presentation and good sized portions for the price. Our server was friendly but not very attentive. All things considered, it's worth a return trip!

One of the best suburban restaurants. I wish that "melalexa" or whoever said they didn't leave a tip on a $130 bill, would have reconsidered. Your poor experience is not necessarily the server's fault.

Tango is one of the best restaurants outside of Philadelphia - great food/cocktail selection, and the decor is beautiful. Also an extensive wine list.

The seared scallops entree is really good, the Greek Salad, jambalaya, and portabella mushroom appetizer (though it is kind of small). If you sit on the deck in nice weather, ask to be seated away from the AC units. Otherwise, it's kind of neat to be sitting there eating dinner when the trains go by.

Only complaint - the dessert coffees - WAY too much liqueur in them! The Jamaican coffee almost had me and my boyfriend on the floor, and it tasted horrible. Poor end to an EXCELLENT meal, and still we have been back several times.

Bad service, Good food. Do not go to Tango if you are in a hurry or inpatient. Go to Tango if you enjoy good food in a nice atmosphere. It is a good place for a small group, or romantic dinner. I do not recommend large groups. The service is not rude, just infrequent. So be forewarned.

The food is always good. The fish tacos are yummy! The sandwiches are excellent, particularly the salmon BLT.

The scene in this former train station moves smoothly but the kitchen chugs along behind.. The Scene
The owners have made an exquisitely appointed restaurant out of this former train station. The front bar sits opposite a dining room made cozy with a fireplace and inlaid stone tables. A back dining area consists of a series of silk-tassled private booths overlooking the train tracks.

The Food
Tango has shifted away from its original Latin American concept to a rather unfocused haute-American menu, and the service seems equally clumsy-footed. Simplicity would go a long way here, as shrimp stuffed with horseradish and wrapped in bacon are rubbery, as is the duck confit served over arugula. Entrees such as pan-seared scallops served in a creamy Dijon sauce and veal roulade with smoked mozzarella are more in step, but accompanying vegetables are shamefully overcooked. The most graceful gesture here is dessert, with a warm chocolate soufflé making a final, sweet curtsy.

Not Bad. We had a pretty good experience here the other night. The food was good, although I would have rated it better if it was hot when it was served. The service was quite good. I'd go back and give it another try.

They forgot we were there... Tango had by far some of the best food that I've experienced. However, the service was non-existent. Although they have plenty of servers, waiters, etc., all of which are extremely friendly, they never came around. Dirty dishes were left on the table, waters were not filled, they were asking if we would like coffee and desert before we even received our main courses. I am hopeful they were just very busy with holiday parties, etc.. I will go back once more expecting the service to be better before I rule it out entirely.

Best in Main Line. My wife and I have adopted Tango as our favorite place to dine. This restaurant excells in all categories with unique menu options and superior service. My favorite is the extensive 70+ wines by the glass list. Try the cream of mushroom soup and try to save room for a wide variety of delicious desserts.

I love this place. I have gone to tango more times than I can remember and every single time I have been there the servers are great (dining room and bar). They seem happy to be there, they make great drinks, good food and an all around pleasant time, everytime.

My favorite in the "Burbs". I've been to Tango a few times & am always pleasantly surprised at how good the food is. It's now my favorite place to go in the suburbs. In addition to good food, the converted train station provides for a cozy atmosphere and they have a very extensive wine list.
