The Scene – The owners have made an exquisitely appointed restaurant out of this former train station. The front bar sits opposite a dining room made cozy with a fireplace and inlaid stone tables. A back dining area consists of a series of silk-tassled private booths overlooking the train tracks. – – The Food – Tango has shifted away from its original Latin American concept to a rather unfocused haute-American menu, and the service seems equally clumsy-footed. Simplicity would go a long way here, as shrimp stuffed with horseradish and wrapped in bacon are rubbery, as…
Our reservation was honored immediately upon arriving at this crowded restaurant and bar. The meal and service were superb. Plenty of free parking.

Reservations were honored immediately when we arrived at 6:30pm . The dining and bar areas were packed. Waiter was at table to take drink orders. He was extremely efficient throughout the whole meal with additional servers for the entrees. Fish, pork, salads, etc. were beautifully presented and enjoyed by 6 at a round table. Located In the original Bryn Mawr freight and passenger train station. Free, ample parking. Both exterior and interior have theme of the Tango. Rated it with 5-stars.
sophomoric and uninventive

This place really needs to get serious about its food. I have eaten there twice in the last 6 years and the menu and presentation were unchanged. Just as the first time, I found it uncomposed, unfocused and down right boring. We sat at the bar and had a knowledgeable bartender. I got excited when he said they had chilean sea bass that night, but they ended up doing it Piccata. Booooooring. My friend got a half pound of salmon and it was dry with no effort in the prentation or flavor combinations.
My recommendation is not to go there unless they clean house in the kitchen and get someone in there with some talent. And at those prices I think they owe that to their customers. especially if they want to gain a younger clientel once the relics that eat there start dying off.
- Pros: Knowledgeable and well-trained staff, good wine
- Cons: Food is a hot disaster
Great Ambience, TERRIBLE food

Twice i ate here and twice I was extremely dissappointed. They are passing off crappy cuts of beef as Filet and NY Strip and you can't even run a steak knife thru the food! I love the atmosphere but prefer to enjoy my food as much as i enjoy the atmosphere. I would never reccommend this place to anyone!
- Pros: Atmosphere
- Cons: Food
