In Short
Owners Mary Clark and Megan Murphy have raised the bar of accessibly hip shopping in the city. Vagabond is a rare gem of little- to well-known labels, locally garnered vintage, artisanal jewelry and when they have the time, Clark and Murphy sew their own line of skirts, dresses and coats. Between exposed-brick walls and worn wooden floors, Veronica M wrap dresses share rack space with local designer Kevin O'Brien's velvet scarves, lace-up dark jeans and Cynthia St. Vincent leather jackets.

Vagabond has become one of my favorite stores. It has alot of labels that I can't find anywhere else and most of them are priced well. It also has about four or five great lines of dresses for special occasions. I found a pretty dress by Glow (a label I've only ever seen before in some Brooklyn boutiques) that I've worn to three different weddings. The girls in the store are really nice and helpful and the new store in the back is really unique and fun. If I want something to wear that I know nobody else will have then I can usually find it there.

the creative energy happening in this place is palpable as soon as you open the door. if you're looking for something they don't have, chances are they can make it for you. the dress selection is amazing and there's always so many irresistable cute, comfy tees. sodafine- in the back, seems to always have the best vintage in town and the handmade stuff is so cute and spirited. an amazing place, totally inspiring!

Occasionally you'll find some unique pieces here, but a lot of the times you'll find handmade pieces that are poorly constructed, with crooked seams, and prices far higher than what they're worth. The staff also seems busily engaged in their own projects (either sewing or knitting) to have much of a care for their customers.
