Citysearch Editorial Review. Located about 45 minutes outside of Center City, this is Philly’s closest ski resort and mountain destination for outdoor year-round run. Snow-making capabilities, eightski/snowboard trails, tubing slopes, a kiddie ski area, a half pipe and a terrain park make this an all-purpose wintertime resort. In slightly warmer months, and in some cases, all year, a rock climbing wall, geo-caching courses and one of the nation’s only canopy treetop experiences round out the possibilities for adventure seekers.
