Swanky digs matched by superb food. I don't normally think of N Italy when I crave steak, but they do it right here. Classy.
Get their coffee. I know, weird recommendation for a steak house, but it's some of the best coffee I've ever had. It's just plain, old drip coffee, but I think they use a light roast, whereas most restaurants are obsessed with dark. it's magnificent.
Great place for steak!!.
This restaurant is in a very interesting location. The old Provident Trust building on 17th & Chestnut. The restaurant is on the Mezzanine which was used in its heyday as the location for Porvident's Trust customers to congregate, meet their Trust officers and generally be entertained by their "Trust" Bank.
Now for the food - it is very good italian fare.
Higly recommend it
Hidden Treasure!. Attention steak lovers! Are you underwhelmed by the plethora of corporate chain steakhouses you may have dined at in this city? I sure know I was. Luckily a friend told me about Davios. I live in the city, and passed that restaurant hundreds of times without realizing it was there. Superb! So next time your looking to dine on walnut street, do yourself a favor and take a slight detour to 17th and samson. You'll be glad you did:)
Great Steaks!!. Great lunch, friendly service. I would recommend Davio's Italian Steakhouse to all.
best italian steakhouse in us. i cant tell you enough how great this restaurant is. the steak is the best in philly. they also do a great job with the italian side of the menu. best of all is the service. i would put the service on par with the four seasons. they have great party rooms as well
Quite Poor..... I had room service (I was staying @ Club Quarters). A pasta dish, it was horrible. The linguine arrvied tepid and bland. The salad was, ok... Very expensive, close to $30. I don't know about the steaks, but don't order the pasta.... Overall a weak experience.
