In Short – This spot has plenty of parking, lots of neon signs, TV sets tuned to the game and an ATM just inside the front door. Friendly servers attend to hungry families' needs. The menu isn't large, but what's not to like? Hardshell crabs in season star here in either house-style or spicier Baltimore style. Also try year-round favorites like Old Bay-doused crab fries and meaty buffalo wings.
WORST. SERVICE. EVER.
by Dogluvr134
Wow- really? what's with all the hype- I have been to all Chickie n Petes locations and asside from the occasional good service at Robbins...I always have terrible service!! The waitress takes your order about 20 minutes after you are seated (god forbid 1 person in your party is stuck at the light you need to wait for them to be seated..what a joke!), then NEVER returns! When eating thoes salty crab fries you need something to drink to wash it down...I sucked on an ice cube for a half an hour! the are complete idoits! I myself have been in the service industry and never stiff on the tip but it burns me to even tip the usual %- Stop throwing food onto my table and never returing until you wanna get paid!- I may sound disgruntled but I can assure you I am not the only one who has had this happend to them
Pros: nothing really
- Pros: NOTHING
- Cons: EVERYTHING!
Servers: Anywhere But Here

As a former server I can say that you are right in your assumptions. There are 3 UNPAID days of training. The first day I was there they had me follow around "the best" server they had there. She pawned me on to her tables, and basically sat back and relaxed. After running around like an idiot, I received absolutely no tips or pay for working 10 hours. Let me say this again, the "training" is UNPAID. Then they charged me $50 for the uniform and $35 for shoes. I was racking up a tab, before I even saw any money from working! There are no people of color, as you say, and many of the staff in NE Philly make sure of it. The male servers act like they are gods and say the most disgusting sexual comments to the female servers. A bartender even grabbed my chest. If you were wondering why your server didn't give you any silverware or plates, its because management frowns on it. The kitchen manager that works Sunday mornings is something you have to see for yourself. He yells at everyone else for having "safety violations" and yet he doesn't wear a hat or gloves. He eats and picks at the food as it is made, and then serves it to you for dinner. The place has crabs and c-roacccches! I could not take any more of the abuse from this place, and so I got out.
- Pros: none
- Cons: management, hostile work environment, employees
worst service ever
by RosalieJ
The worst service I've ever had, I have been there 2 times and won't ever go back. the foods not great but ok. If you want to feel like the waiter is doing you a favor, this is the place to go. The bar-tender named Dave is the rudest ever he shouldn't work there if he does not know how to use the people skill, acts as if he's doing you a favor when serving. It's a shame when people aren't happy with their job and take it out on the patrons. This place needs a class on how to treat their guests.
