Best Coffee & Cannoli I EVER Tasted!. I stopped here after dinner for Coffee & Dessert and let me tell you - It was the best part of the meal! Dinner was really good but Anthony's Coffee and Cannoli are GREAT! Not too many people can make killer Cappuccino's - but Anthony's nailed it! The 6 of us were celebrating my mom's birthday and we stopped in for just a cannoli and coffee but we had to try the Homemade Gelato and Biscotti too. The Ricotta Cannoli are probably the BEST i ever tasted but my mom had to try the Blood Orange Sorbet and dad had about 10 mini biscotti - everything was sooo good. I am definitely going back to try the lunch panini -- nice selection and cheap prices. I just need to remember that this little Italian cafe has such great food - 'cause I only usually remember the coffee!

Gem in the Italian Market!!. This place is a true GEM in the Italian Market -- it's has great Coffee, Pastries, Panini and Gelato! I love really strong and fresh coffee and everytime I visit - it's is AWESOME!! I regularly shop the Italian Market and I always make it a point to start my day here! I only wish this place was bigger!! If it's busy - WAIT - you won't be disappointed. At my last visit I tried the breakfast panini - eggs & bacon with melted cheese on a croissant & fancy latte - OMG!! D-LISH! I stopped back after I went shopping on the Italian Market and bought a coffee and Cannoli for the ride home. It was SOOO good I decided to buy a pound of coffee and a dozen cannoli for Sunday's dinner -- my family love it!

Anthony's is a great place and can't wait to go back!

Nice Espresso. The espresso was nice and smooth but I asked if the sfogliatelle was baked this morning, which they have to be because if not they get stale and like rubber very easily, the girl insisted they were fresh but as she put them on the plate I broke a piece off and it tasted dry like about 3 days old. After I pointed this out the rude counter person returned my $2.75 and took the plate away. I travel the states and attend gourmet trade shows I happen to know what fresh baked quality pastry tastes like and don't appreciate being handed inferior goods.

An Italian Market mainstay for a good cup of java.. In Short
There's no better way to keep warm during a winter trip to the Italian Market than to stop in at Anthony's for an espresso or hot chocolate. The interior also offers sanctuary from the squeeze and hustle of Ninth Street's vendor row: dark-wood paneling, pictures of the Italian Market's old days. Anthony's serves and sells its own bleds of coffee under the brand name Anastasio Coffee. Extremely large panini sandwiches are also on the menu.

Great South Philly Ambience !. Anthony's has got to be the greatest, throw-back coffee house that I've ever seen. Ferrara's in New York is beautiful and great but Anthony's in South Philly is where me and my crew have our meetings over a coffee and cannolis.

At Ferrara's, you have a waitress bring you your coffee and cannoli but who needs that? In South Philly, you go get a bunch of cannolis from Isgro's on Christian St. (2 blocks away) and chow down on them over a coffee at Anthony's, which has great coffee and cappuccino. In the summer time, sit outside and watch the Italian Market shoppers do their thing.

Anthony's is excellent and the people there are outstanding.
