In Short – Cozy and intimate, this steakhouse has been voted the best place to see and be seen by local magazines. A young professional crowd favors Marmont for its customized cuts of beef, summer sidewalk seating, DJs spinning house music from Thursday to Saturday nights and yes, those martinis, all 30 of them, 20 of which are fixed year-round and another ten that surprise guests on each visit. Owner David Chiavoroli prides himself on pricing his steaks lower than other Center City steakhouse and includes a potato or veggie dish.
The menu summary is not accurate. MARMONT Steakhouse & Bar is a steakhouse.

Amazing Steak and Lobster
by PhillyRestaunteer
Their Surf and Turf was delicious. My girlfriend had Lobster as well and hers was just as delicious, but different, which was very nice. The waitress seemed a little dead, but I think she was new, so it was ok. Though not the best I've had, the Calamari was an excellent appetizer.
I first heard of Marmont from restaurant dot com, which is a great site for gift certificates at 50% off. I've been to about 10 restaurants from that site and Marmont is definitely the best!
- Pros: Great food and atmosphere
- Cons: A little on the pricey side, but well worth it!
Marmont - New and Improved
by brownmb
I hadn't been to Marmont for about six months, and I was surprised to see the updated decor (it's about time) and new feel to one of my favorite Old City spots. As usual, the food was great, but the additions to the menu (cheesesteak spring rolls are a must...as are the quesadillas) and the new seating/lighting inside make it a must if you haven't been there. The service was good (better than my experience at some other local spots) and the staff took care of me like one of their own. It's a good idea to stuck around for the nightlife to take over after dinner...I caught the DJ on a Friday night and the guy was hot (in terms of music)...and the crowd got more beautiful as the night went on...supposedly the weeknights are also good (Tuesday, Thursday) but I haven't experienced that first hand yet...but I will...and my only advice is if you haven't been to Marmont in months, you're missing out. Whoever was behind the updates, please accept my thanks for spicing up one of my OC favorites.
