Shampoo has many rooms for many moods: The huge, main dance hall includes four bars and state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems; the smaller White Room allows a more select crowd to groove to disco classics; the plush Velvet Underground is reserved strictly for VIPs. I was happy to find a spot where you don't have to be 21 to get in but there was a high price to pay! There was a convenient coat check and plenty of dance room. I thought the dj was great but was turned off by the massive amount of guys standing around. Get off your a** and dance, you didn't pay $20 to stand for three hours. Besides that I though the mix of old and young to be pretty cool and would definitely go back, but with a lot more people!
Pros: The music and the free entertainment
Cons: Too many people trying to profile instead of having fun

It was supposed to be a gay party and it ended up to be a hip hop convention. The only gay man was the bartender givin respect to the gay drink as fully loaded with spirit. from quermess.blogspot dot com
