Editorial Review for Bar Noir – by Citysearch Editors
In Short
After descending the stairs, patrons are greeted by a long, thin room decorated with film noir posters and a gigantic likeness of Elvis Costello. The crowd consists of cocktail-sipping refugees from the Square's more elegant bars, evenly mixed with scensters and yuppies. The possibility of seeing a Sixer will always be appealing, but the mainstream parties that take place here show that this bar may have lost its hipster appeal, but it's gained star power.

This is such a great find right in Center City with none of the hassle and just great drink specials and AMAZING DJS!! They have DJS all week so no matter when you go, you're guarenteed someone is spinning something hot. Love it.
Pros: Great DJS

I went to Bar Noir for the first time this weekend and had a blast! The drinks were cheap, the bartenders were awesome and the music was a change from the usual repetative DJs. I was told the DJ was a local legend, I don't know but he did sound good! Definitely a place I will be back to.
